A Legacy of Leadership

What do the Mayo Clinic, Washington University Barnes Jewish Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Beth Israel Deaconess all have in common?  Besides being renowned academic medical centers, all of the above hospitals'  Emergency Medicine program directors are alumni of the Denver Health Residency in Emergency Medicine.  One of the best ways to evaluate a residency program is to ask where the graduates are working now.  In addition to holding positions of leadership within Emergency Medicine Departments, many of our graduates have achieved other impressive accomplishments. John Marx, MD, FACEP (1980 alumnus) is the primary editor for Rosen's Emergency Medicine Concepts & Clinical Practice.  Ron Walls, MD, FACEP (1984 alumnus) is the founder and director of the Airway Course. The "Denver Diaspora" is a group of outstanding individuals who have chosen both academic and private careers across the nation.  Take a look below at where some of our graduates are continuing the legacy of leadership.
